5 Year On-line Business Plan…

Sometimes it’s cool to stop and take stock of the business on how far it has grown and which direction I would like to take it in the future. I would usually keep this on spreadsheets and formal documents for potential games investors but I thought it would be cool to produce and share a simple break down of “A Sitting Duck”.

Year 1: August 2008 - August 2009: Launch website and build initial team.

Year 2: August 2009 - August 2010: Continue With Animation series and launch Facebook page.

Year 3: August 2010 - August 2011: Build links with top websites and hit 1 million internet views.

Year 4: August 2011 - August 2012: Make “asittingducktv” a platform for other animators and video producers to share work and promote their stuff, also launch an information product which will help website and channel owners to build a solid on-line foundation and business.

Year 5: August 2011 - August 2012: Launch iPhone game and continue to produce high quality free on-line content. Launch a new consulting company for high end clients teaching advanced on-line strategies.

You can probably see that the front end of the business can be labour intensive to produce a large quantity of free content but by year 5 I’ll have a very profitable games and consulting company.
